The Story Of SJB Legal

While SJB Legal Consultants Ltd was established in 2016, the director of the business, Stephen James Bunker, has been working in the industry since 2003. Beginning his journey with a clerking role at a firm in London, Mr Bunker continued to become an Accredited Legal Representative by Cardiff University before taking a managerial position in the police station department at a leading national law firm of Criminal Solicitors.

Today, SJB Legal Consultants Ltd remains a family-run business committed to taking a down to earth approach to working with clients, ensuring that they feel at ease from the very beginning. Our team recognises that any situation regarding the law can be incredibly daunting, so we will work with you to ensure that you are fully prepared for police interviews. Whether clients have an interview with the local police, Royal Military Police, The National Crime Agency (NCA), Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) or Fraud Office, full support is available on a 24/7 basis.

Committed To Protecting Your Rights

Should an individual be invited in for a police interview, it is imperative that they are made aware that they are entitled to free and independent legal advice. Most people opt for enlisting their own lawyer, who can meet with them ahead of the police interview date to provide legal guidance – this is where SJB Legal Consultants Ltd comes in. Others choose to pay for their case to be handled on a “fixed fee” basis, which is also available when contacting our team. Regardless of which of the two routes you choose to go down, it is of utmost importance to meet with an independent legal advisor, not anyone who is a member of the police force. Although many believe that requesting advice makes them look guilty, this is most definitely not the case – free and independent legal advice is your right, and our team are committed to protecting this.

When meeting with SJB Legal Consultants Ltd prior to your police interview, you will be at an instant advantage as discussing your case will prepare you in good time for your interview appointment. In obtaining the allegation details, you will also have time to run through every aspect, taking into consideration the strengths and weaknesses of the case. Together, this will put our advisors in the very best position to advise you on the next steps you are likely to take.

Along with personal legal advice, SJB Legal Consultants Ltd also provides guidance should a friend or family member be arrested. Not only will they be able to contact the custody sergeant responsible for the case but also communicate directly with the person who has been arrested.
